Segmentaci trhu práce považujeme za jeden z hlavních strukturálních faktorů ovlivňujících postavení jedince na trhu práce. Pro zhodnocení postavení cizinců na trhu práce z hlediska teorie segmentace trhu práce vycházíme z dostupných statistických údajů o zaměstnanosti cizinců dle klasifikace zaměstnání KZAM. Teoretické poznatky o procesech segmentace trhu práce aplikujeme při popisu struktury zahraniční zaměstnanosti v České republice. Kromě rozložení zahraniční zaměstnanosti v jednotlivých sektorech trhu práce nás zajímají také důvody tohoto rozložení a faktory, které ovlivňují integraci migrantů na trhu práce.

Labour market segmentation is considered as one of the main structural factors influencing the position of individuals in the labour market. The evaluation of the status of foreigners in the labour market in terms of the theory of labour market segmentation is based on available statistical data on employment of foreigners by occupation classification ISCO. Theoretical findings on labour market segmentation are applied to description of the structure of employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic. In addition to the distribution of foreign employment in various sectors of the labour market, we are interested in the reasons for this distribution and factors affecting the integration of immigrants into the labour market.
